What Is CMF Clip Pro? Specs, Price & Should You Buy It?

I have a very specific relationship with my earbuds, and it isn’t a healthy one.

If you’re in India, the news is a little disappointing: CMF has confirmed the Clip Pro will not be launching here, at least not as part of this rollout. Given how price-sensitive the Indian TWS market is, and how the Clip Pro sits well above CMF’s usual ₹1,500–₹4,000 sweet spot, it’s a reasonable business call even if it stings for anyone who’d been waiting on this one.

Should You Buy the CMF Clip Pro?

I’ll be honest, I’m the exact person this product is designed for, and I’m still not 100% sold, which feels like the most useful thing I can tell you.

The Smart Dial genuinely sounds like the kind of small, physical detail that makes a gadget feel less disposable, and the whole “hear your surroundings without ripping a bud out” premise solves a problem I deal with weekly. The battery numbers are solid for the category, the Hi-Res certification and LDAC support are more than you’d expect at this price, and $99 undercuts a lot of the premium open-ear competition.

But open-ear earbuds are still a compromise by design. You’re trading noise isolation and deep bass for comfort and awareness, and no amount of Ultra Bass Technology fully closes that gap. If your main use case is blocking out a loud commute or losing yourself in music on a flight, a sealed pair will beat this every time. If your problem is closer to mine, sore ears, missed conversations, and a low-grade dread every time you have to take a bud out mid-sentence, the Clip Pro is worth watching closely once real reviews land after the August 15 launch.

I haven’t ordered a pair yet. I keep telling myself I’m waiting for hands-on reviews, which is true, but if I’m being honest with myself, I think I just like the idea of fixing this problem more than I trust that I actually will.
